The Root Of All Evil (and Good)

Ever wondered why something turned out the way it did? Or why did x happen and not y or z? People try to explain it in different ways - plain luck, destiny, god, karma or a resigned 'that's how life is'.

I am a believer of karma - your deeds come back to you. Your present is a sum-total of your past deeds and your future will depend on what you do today; on what choices you make today. Sometimes the connection is too obvious, sometimes it's not clear if anything u did had to do with what you're facing today. But even in those cases, karma works behind the scenes.

So can everything bad that happened to you be attributed to your own deeds? Yes, but always remember that the line between good and bad is sometimes very thin. What feels/looks like a bad outcome might be a blessing in disguise.

So next time you do something, remember fully well that it'll come back to you. Maybe you can 'get away' with doing x and noone will ever know about it. But all your deeds will eventually catch up with you. Do good and you will definitely reap the benefits ... do bad and you'll surely repent before you leave this world.
